A self-taught artist and expert in bead-weaving technique, Montreal designer Renelde Napoli creates art that’s ready to wear.
Napoli weaves her stunning jewelry from tiny seed beads and crystals. This intricate art, derived from Native American and African traditions, sometimes uses thousands of individual beads in one piece. Working with freshwater pearls, Venetian glass, Swarovski crystal and lampwork beads, Renelde gives each piece its own unique flavour - and even its own name. And like a fine piece of artwork, no two handcrafted creations are alike.
Born in Paris and raised in Montreal, Napoli infuses European aesthetic with fun, hipster chic. Her combination of unique designs, vibrant colours and funky materials has earned her critical acclaim from clients in North America and Europe. Her works have been commissioned in France and South Africa, and have been featured in marriage ceremonies and music videos. From her studio in the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal district, she sells her pieces via the internet, word of mouth, exclusive vernissage and private commission.
Her innovative, classy and fresh style continues to garner accolades from clients and attention from major media, including recent appearances in Beadwork Magazine, the Montreal Gazette and in one of the world’s most-read newspapers, Métro nouvelles.
Renelde Napoli participates in Quebec’s prestigious Salon des métiers d’art in Montreal, where her works are viewed by over a quarter of a million people.
